This Auto-Pédestre explores the area around Schifflange in the Red Rocks region, where nature has taken back the traces of iron-ore mining. The route measures 7.7 km — about 2 hours of walking, depending on pace. The route gathers about 140 m of ascent, and most of the way follows forest and field tracks.
Along the way you pass Eisenerzgrube and Plaakesch Kopp, among other sights. Like every Auto-Pédestre, the loop is permanently waymarked with the blue symbol and can be started at any point.
